Honorary Consulate General of Bangladesh, Philippines

  We are pleased to inform that the Government of Bangladesh has appointed Ms. Joji Ilagan Bian as the Honorary Consul General of Bangladesh for the jurisdiction of Mindanao, the Philippines. Bangladesh Embassy Celebrated 98th Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation and National Children Day in a festive mood on 17th March, 2018.

International Mother Language Day was observed at the Bangladesh Embassy in the Philippines with due solemnity.

Ambassador attended a PAGASA event in Davao with the Vice Mayor of Davao on 14th February. The Vice Mayor assured to support PAGASA activities.

Ambassador Siam called on the H.E. Mr. Edgar M. Chatto, Governor of Bohol on 6th February, 2018. They discussed possible participation of Bangladesh troupe in Bohol’s cultural festivals.

Asian Institute of Developmental Studies, Inc. (AIDSI) in collaboration with the Management and Training International Ltd. (MTI) of Bangladesh is conducting a four-week training programme on “Monitoring and Evaluation” in the Philippines for ten officials of the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED), Ministry of Planning, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. They visited the Embassy on 23 January 2018.

Our deepest respect to Chief State Counsel of the Philippines, Mr. Ricardo Paras III, who was instrumental in DoJ in recovery efforts of Bangladesh Bank heist fund. We deeply mourn his sudden demise. In this photo, Bangladesh Bank team is seen with Mr Paras. It was taken in November, 2017 at DoJ.
